Upcoming Gigs

Emily Zisman

I play solo a bunch! Check out my solo appearances here and dive deeper below for info on my songwriter showcase and when I sing with the Americano Social Club.

  • July 5th: Marin County Fair supporting Bread & Roses: 2:00-4:30pm

I’ve been volunteering with Bread & Roses Presents for a few years now and thoroughly resonate with the ethos and mission of the organization.

This will be my second year appearing on the B&R stage at the Marin County Fair and can say with conviction that this event is a hoot. Pig racing, local art shows, fireworks, carnival rides, smoked turkey legs and garlic fries….what’s not to love?

SONGWRITER SHOWCASE

Every first and third Thursday, I invite a singer-songwriter from the Bay Area to swap songs and stories with me. We share some original songs as well as a few choice covers to shine a light on what makes the Bay Area so singable.

7pm-10pm Free with purchase of food or drink.

My guest on April 2nd is Aireene Espiritu. Aireene Espiritu plays a mix of stompin’, swayin’ and timeless Americana reminiscent of front porch storytelling, of ghosts and the living, times of laughter and tears. A Color-Coded Symphony is her latest project, a musical experience connecting the audience’s ethnic origins to rhythms of the world.

7pm-10pm Free with purchase of food or drink.

My guest on April 16th is Alexis Harte. Alexis Harte is an American Singer-Songwriter/Composer and was Co-Founder/Creative Director at multi-award winning Pollen Music Group

As a singer/songwriter, his musical roots span acoustic folk, British invasion, Americana, and electrified world-pop. In addition to sharing stages with the likes of Taj Mahal, Dar Williams, and Cat Power, Alexis placed numerous tracks from his 6 studio releases in dozens of national television shows (including CW’s Heart of Dixie, ABC’s Castle, and What About Brian, Jack And Bobby, WB’s Jake 2.0, PBS’s Now with Bill Moyers, Fox’s The Loop) and many films.

7pm-10pm Free with purchase of food or drink.

My guest on May 7th is Torilena. Torilena’s (she/they) music is genre fluid, gender fluid, shape shifting pop/rock – telling quirky stories about identity and relationships – woven into emotionally resonant anthems. A native of the diverse working-class neighborhoods of West London, their music was shaped by the sounds around them growing up — whether pop, rock, and soul on the radio, or reggae and world influences from friends / in the streets — synthesised into fierce storytelling and queer defiance.

AMERICANO SOCIAL CLUB

The Americano Social Club plays music for “la dolce vita”: a mix of romantic and eclectic melodies from all over the world. At our performances you might hear Pop, Jazz or Folk, Classical, Rock, or Opera, the music of Brazil or of Europe’s cafés, (not to mention some of our own dramatic original pieces); and all of it re-imagined so you will hear the melodies you love (or didn’t know you loved) like new again.

  • EVERY WEDNESDAY At BLUSH! Wine Bar! Yes, EVERY Wednesday, The Americano Social Club serenades the Castro District with all of the weird, woeful, and wonderful melodies they can scavenge from all over the world. You will leave feeling connected. Or weirded out. Either way, you’ll be entertained. What have you got to lose?
